Team of 2007 Date posted: 22nd December 2007The Objective 2 Team was thrilled to be awarded with Team of the Year in the Chief Executive's department of Bristol City Council.
We were pipped to the post in the overall council awards this December, but excited, nevertheless, that we had our work recognised across our department.
We are looking forward to fantastic achievements in 2008 as the programme comes to a close and the evaluation of our work is carried out.
Objective 2 makes its mark in St Werburghs Date posted: 29th August 2007The St Werburghs Gateway Enhancement project has recently been successfully completed with residents celebrating the results with a launch party at the end of June.
The Objective 2 funded project saw improvements made to Gatton Road including a separate access road to an industrial estate, opening up access to a development site and taking vans and lorries away from the area.
The computer workshop on Mina Road was moved and renamed the ‘IT Centre’, with new jobs being created.
Noise reduction fences and screens were put up to block out noise from the M32 and additional street lighting and landscaping has helped to spruce up the area.
Invitation to Tender Date posted: 10th May 2007ESOL provision was recently put out to competitive tender. We are pleased to announce that the winning tenders for the work were The Learning Curve and Easton Learning Centre.
The Objective 2 Team is now looking forward to working with these partners to provide much-needed ESOL Training to residents in the Objective 2 Area.
