National Lottery : Big Lottery Fund


Lloyds TSB Foundation
Supports local communities, helping people to improve their quality of life. Target groups are underfunded charities which enable people, especially disadvantaged or disabled people, to play a fuller role in the community.


Quartet
Quartet Community Foundation (formerly the Greater Bristol Foundation) supports small, community-based charities and voluntary groups in the West of England whose work benefits local people. They give grants to a broad range of causes and take applications from both new and established groups.


Better Play (Barnardo's with the Children's Play Council)
Aimed at distinctive and innovative children's play projects. Grants range from £5000 to £60,000 and will be for revenue funding only.


Heritage Lottery Fund
Money raised by the National Lottery to give grants which benefit the public. Priorities include Heritage conservation, national heritage, local heritage and heritage education and access.


National Foundation for Youth Music
Helps young people incorporate the creative use of technology into their music making. Supports projects which allow young people to learn and use the musical tools which technology can provide. Also aims to make musical opportunities more widespread among young children.


The Baring Foundation Arts Programmes
Aims to support access to the arts, especially for those whose access is limited. Provides grants to not-for-profit organisations in England and Wales.


Arts Capital Programme (Lottery Funding Available from the Arts Council of England)


Church Urban Fund (The Churches Council for Industry and Social Responsibility)
The Church Urban Fund is one of the main national charities that targets local people in Urban Priority Areas (UPAs). It aims to help disadvantaged inner-city communities meet their economic, social and spiritual needs. Grant applications fielded year-round.


Sure Start (DfES)
To improve the health and social well-being of families and children before and after birth.


BBC Children In Need Appeal
Grant-making trust which helps disadvantaged children aged 18 years and under.>


The Union Learning Fund (DfES)
Works to increase the take-up of learning in the workplace - projects range from basic skills to continuing professional developments.


Regional Arts Lottery Programme (English Regional Arts Board)


Sustainable Communities Programme (Shell Foundation)
Supports projects designed to help marginalised and disadvantaged communities participate in and beneft from economic and social development opportunities.


Rural Development Programme (RDA)
Provides funding for projects led by public, voluntary and private sector partnerships which address economic and community development needs in 'Rural Priority Areas'.
